University of Leicester | Masters in Human Resource Management and Development

I have been a student of CLMS and the University of Leicester since 2006. I completed my Diploma in Training and Development from CLMS in 2008, and subsequently topped it with an MSc in HRM&D in 2013 from the University of Leicester. All throughout, my experience with the University has been positive and really helpful. The distance learning mode helped me to balance my work commitments being a full time working professional, with academic studying, The quality and level of the information, readings and articles provided in the course materials helped to educate, inform and challenge my perspectives, as a learner. The benefit with distance learning is that as a student I learnt to rely on myself and in the process, stretch my critical thinking and decision making skills, particularly during my independently managed dissertation. Writing assignments honed my academic writing skills and helped me learn how to articulate application of a learning theory into practical scenarios; combined with the structured and detailed feedback from my assessors, it taught me how to critically evaluate academic concepts using the backdrop of my work experience. Stafford Associates provided a very good level of support; organized effort and clear communication to students around faculty visits, assignment timelines, and submission deadlines. The team was friendly and helped be the liaison between me and the university whenever I needed clarification or support.
