What is an MBA?
An MBA or Master of Business Administration, is the most popular professional business degree programme worldwide. Developed in 1908, this advanced degree sought to apply scientific approaches to management, in a time of rapid industrialisation. Today the aim of an MBA course is to impart core business knowledge and leadership skills to current or aspiring managers, with an option to study electives to specialise in a particular field. While a typical degree would cover business topics such as accounting, finance, economics, marketing, operations etc., contemporary degrees now sometimes include subjects such as sustainability, ethics or soft skills.
The most important thing to remember with a Master of Business Administration is that ‘One size does not fit all’. With this in mind, Stafford Global’s Higher Education Consultants help prospective students identify and apply for the right Masters degree, that best suits their needs, circumstances and aspirations.
Stafford offers two types of MBA courses;
Part Time MBA
A Part Time MBA course, also referred to as a Flexible MBA or Blended MBA is a mix of online and offline classes or workshops. They have a face-to-face component in their teaching delivery but do include online lectures. Part Time MBAs are more popular with students who prefer a higher degree of direct and personal interaction with tutors and classmates.
An Online MBA course is delivered entirely online, over the internet. There are no workshops or offline classes to attend and student assessments are often assignment-based vs the need to take exams. Rapidly increasing in popularity, an Online MBA offers the greatest flexibility, allowing students to study anywhere and at any time, without the need to stop working, or move away from home.
