The BAPD from the University of Dundee is ideally suited to working professionals as it allows you to enhance your knowledge and skills in relation to your profession.

The programme allows entry to the graduates from the Teacher Qualification (Further Education) (TQFE) course who would like to continue studying towards a full degree.

The course is suitable for professionals working in tertiary education, community learning, or even social work.

This bachelor in education programme will enable you to focus on and progress in your field of expertise and to develop new transferable knowledge, skills and abilities, which in turn enhances continuing professional development, promotion prospects and career development.

You will be required:

  • to apply knowledge gained on the course to your own professional circumstances and assess the benefits of the same;
  • to explore ways in which you can test new ideas and;
  • to explore modules of continuing professional development.

BA Professional Development in Tertiary Education has flexible entry and exit points allowing you to enter at a level appropriate to your level of education and experience. You are encouraged to seek credit for prior formal learning and for experience. Recognition of experiential learning is available for up to 50% of the level to which you are applying.

  • for entry to level 1, you need 3 Highers or equivalent
  • for entry to level 2 you need the equivalent of 120 credits
  • for entry to level 3, the equivalent of 240 credits

English Language Requirement is IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent)
