About the Programme

  • The BA Childhood Studies will give you the opportunity to develop your professionalism and leadership skills while you continue to work with young people from 0 - 16 years.

  • The course includes theories and principles of childhood. As you study, you will become more confident to articulate and revisit your own value’s base, identifying how this may affect your professional practice and thinking.

  • You will use workplace based activities as the foundation for academic study.

Entry Requirements

  • The course has flexible entry and exit points allowing you to enter at a level appropriate to your level of education and experience. You are encouraged to seek credit for prior formal learning and for experience. Recognition of experiential learning is available for up to 50% of the level to which you are applying.

    • for entry to Level 1, you need 3 Highers or equivalent

    • for entry to Level 2, you need the equivalent of 120 credits

    • for entry to Level 3, the equivalent of 240 credits

  • English Language Requirement is IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent)
