STUDENT TESTIMONIALS

Leicester University

Hello, my name is Clinton D’Sa and I am the dep. General Manager at Basem Int’l General Trading Co. based in the State of Kuwait. With being appointed as the Dep. General Manager it became apparent the need for me to broaden my horizons, and learn the hidden aspects of conducting and managing a Business. Hence, an MBA seemed like the ideal qualification required to satisfy my needs. One of the major obstacles I faced was the humongous amount of variety and options of universities to choose from with an insane amount of formalities and documents required etc. A Tough Decision and a tedious time consuming chore to say the least. To my rescue comes Stafford Associates. I first heard of the good reviews of Stafford by word of mouth from close friends located in Dubai itself. After contacting them, they simplified everything for me and guided me from the beginning i.e. selection& enrollment right up till I received my degree in my hand. To put it simply, “Stafford simplified and organized my selection, enrollment and decision process. Coordinated and followed up my requirements on my behalf and just made things overall much easier, plus doing all of this with the highest degree of professionalism and courtesy”. I would definitely wholeheartedly recommend anyone interested in acquiring a MBA degree or other further studies in the Middle East area to contact Stafford Associates.

I started my MSc in Human Resource Management and Training distance learning course with Leicester University in February 2017 with the assistance of Stafford in Dubai. Stafford provided me with extensive information every step of the way starting with support during the process of choosing the right course and university for me, followed by the application and payment processes. All my questions and queries were replied adequately and promptly, I was even assisted during the weekends. I am still at the beginning of my course but enjoying the flexibility of the distance learning option as I also have a full time job. The course is challenging but also very interesting. The rich online resources, continuous tutorial support and opportunities for online interactions with other students are great tools which enrich my experience and help me with my studies.

I opted for this course because I wanted to enter the teaching field. I have a MSc in Finance, but being a mother three young girls I wanted to opt for a career that would allow me to juggle home and work comfortably. I particularly favor the PGCE (PGCert) of Dundee because it gives me the option of returning to the program and completing the diploma or the MED should there be a need. The laws surrounding the teaching requirements tend to change and having this door open allows me to continue from where I have left of. I enjoyed studying both modules thoroughly. Although, I was anxious with having no books in my hands and space to highlight and scribbles notes as has been the case with my previous studies, I soon developed a likeness for reading online. The University Library holds a wide range of books, journals, articles and other sources, which I found extremely useful. The tutors have been supportive and so has the Stafford staff. The workshop in particular was a brilliant start to the program. I have recommended the program to several of my friends and I am happy to continue passing on this recommendation.

As a current student of PGCert, as part of MEd at University of Dundee, Scotland, I have really enjoyed studying my first module of Leadership, Change and Organisational Development and felt that all the information was relevant to my teaching experience. My tutor was very kind and helpful. Due to the fact that this is my first online course, I missed the real contact with a tutor especially while preparing the final assignment. However, at the end, I have successfully completed my first module with a support of my tutor. My current studies of the second module Reflecting Upon Leadership in the IB include online tutorial which is a great help for students. I am enjoying reading the module materials and I hope to complete this module as successfully as the first one and even more successful. All my experience with Stafford has been positive in terms of services and communication. I am looking forward to see the benefits of this program in my further career!

My husband, Rohit Ramachandran and I, both, wanted to do our MBA in 2002 to further our career ambitions. We then came across and were very impressed with the structured learning approach of Leicester University and the support offered by Stafford Associates. We met a group of executives from various fields of work as our colleagues and everyone shared valuable real life experiences across industries such as Oil and Gas, FMCG, Aviation, Shipping and more, during our discussions in class. The program offered us a good mix of best management theories and real life case studies where these theories and principles could be applied for a better outcome. The most important learning from our MBA was critical thinking of and challenging the existing practices and processes. The MBA allowed us to become more confident of turning ideas into reality. It allowed us to develop a network of contacts and build valuable friendships that last to date. We highly recommend Stafford Associates as a valued partner in delivering the MBA course with the help of highly qualified professors and lecturers in a warm and supportive environment.

I signed up for the Leicester MBA course in Finance and Marketing in 2002. The curriculum, course structure, duration and cost suited my needs. I was looking for a MBA course from a reputed and globally recognized Institute without having to leave my job to reside on a campus. The Leicester MBA offered exactly that as it was neither a campus based course nor a distance learning course. It offered classes over 2 years of the programme. My association with the administrative and faculty staff of Stafford was always characterized by prompt, efficient and professional assistance and instruction. The qualification per se and the nature of interaction during classes and workshops gave me new insights on numerous issues of the workplace. It offered certain perspectives in management which undoubtedly helped me progress in my maritime shipping career and into leadership roles.

The University of Leicester and Stafford Associates was recommended by a friend and former student. It's a well structured course requiring a lot of hard work from the students. The staff and lecturers of Stafford have gone an extra mile to ensure that I was able to complete the MBA programme successfully. Ever since I graduated in MBA Finance I've had an edge over other IT consultants as I am able to seamlessly translate IT technical language to business language and reach out to the senior and top manager of organizations and for this I'm thankful for the knowledge imparted by Stafford Associates.

My association with Stafford has changed my life. It started in a simple way. My colleague was doing an MBA with Leicester through Stafford associates and recommended me to join, and I did. After I completed the MBA, I did the same, recommend many of my friends and they are all happy with the teaching and coordination with the university. Currently I am executing all that I learned from my MBA. I have started a Job portal www.EngineersWanted.com to support Engineering placements all over the world. Some other startup ideas are slowly turning to real businesses with the help of external investors. It all happened because of the confidence I gained through my MBA studies.

I started doing my MBA program in 2002, 7 years after completing my engineering degree. I wanted to do a Masters in Management after working for some years. I have to admit that without Stafford association support, follow-up, kindness, and care, I wouldn't get this MBA degree. What I really cannot forget with Stafford team that whoever I was dealing with from this wonderful team was providing me the same excellent professional prompt and kind service. It's Stafford culture! I really appreciate Stafford teamkind efforts for helping me to receive my MBA degree, and wish them all the best.

The course required plenty of reading and writing of essays, but there were also opportunities to interact with other course members, both in person at the Get Together events in Dubai, but also virtually via the University Portal. The course really helped me understand what I wanted to achieve as a teacher and how to go about it. I can highly recommend it. Stafford was efficient and professional in their organization. They answered all my questions promptly and handled all payments without hassle or fuss.

Most convenient, affordable and flexible way of learning and getting an MBA Degree. Wonderfully planned and executed course with very helpful staff. I just attended the workshops, did my assignments and got the degree; everything else has been coordinated by Stafford (off course I paid the fees in easy installments without burden on my pocket).

Well coordinated programme. Faculty was extremely accommodative and helpful. Contact classes for the 2 days were really helpful; I am very happy with the whole conduct of the programme. Stafford Associates has been really helpful from the time of admissions to the receipt of certificate. I am so thankful to Nabeela who coordinated my admission formalities in a professional manner.

It was a very interesting course. The content is very comprehensive and well planned. I have been a teacher for 16 years, and have found the course very informative, as far as its relevance to today’s environments is concerned. The learning trends have changed with the inclusion of electronic media, classrooms have to be set up differently as well. I gained a lot of insight through the course. The deadlines of the assignments are well spaced out and are very achievable. One has to manage time well, if one is working alongside the course. The tutors are very helpful and respond to queries within a good time space.

I made the decision to look at the possibility of doing an MBA in the spring of 2012. The reasoning was that I had two free days per week after moving to a new country and I wanted to achieve something that would make me feel positive about myself. I always felt that I never fulfilled my potential in terms of academia due to financial constraints, work and indeed laziness. Having looked at the options I decided to pursue the University of Leicester MBA through Stafford Associates. All of my initial queries and concerns were dealt with speed and professionalism by the Stafford team and I always looked forward to the quarterly weekend seminars in the UAE. In the final stage of my MBA, I was assigned a wonderful dissertation tutor who was a great help and source of advice. The world wide web makes access to knowledge and distance learning possible, and I see learning as a lifelong process that I appreciate more as I reach middle age. I decided to do the best I possibly could on each element of the course. I achieved a distinction and also an additional certificate from The University of Leicester for being one of the best distance learning students. I consider myself very lucky to have achieved these awards. Achieving the MBA has helped me in my work role as well as in negotiating better work conditions. I definitely feel more positive about myself – which was my goal at the outset. I have also exorcised the ghost of knowing I had not achieved my full potential academically in the past.

My experience with the University of Leicester was a great one. The University’s MSc in Marketing program has helped me grow personally and professionally. The University has provided me with numerous resources such as access to a number of worldwide e-libraries, e-journals, e-books, information banks, study skills videos, access to forums and much more. In addition to that, the study materials and assignments provided have also helped me develop my marketing knowledge, research and critical analysis skills. Thanks to my Professors at the University and to the Admin, I was able to overcome the challenges that I met during my program study. Now I am feeling more confident and capable when it comes to working in the field of marketing, anywhere in the world.

I have been a student of CLMS and the University of Leicester since 2006. I completed my Diploma in Training and Development from CLMS in 2008, and subsequently topped it with an MSc in HRM&D in 2013 from the University of Leicester. All throughout, my experience with the University has been positive and really helpful. The distance learning mode helped me to balance my work commitments being a full time working professional, with academic studying, The quality and level of the information, readings and articles provided in the course materials helped to educate, inform and challenge my perspectives, as a learner. The benefit with distance learning is that as a student I learnt to rely on myself and in the process, stretch my critical thinking and decision making skills, particularly during my independently managed dissertation. Writing assignments honed my academic writing skills and helped me learn how to articulate application of a learning theory into practical scenarios; combined with the structured and detailed feedback from my assessors, it taught me how to critically evaluate academic concepts using the backdrop of my work experience. Stafford Associates provided a very good level of support; organized effort and clear communication to students around faculty visits, assignment timelines, and submission deadlines. The team was friendly and helped be the liaison between me and the university whenever I needed clarification or support.

I had very wonderful experience with the University and Stafford. I had perhaps millions of questions during the study and all tutors and admin staffs were absolutely professional, caring and patient in entertaining all my requests. They made this experience very pleasant journey and all challenges which seemed sometimes insurmountable turned into the very manageable and even easy tasks. Blackboard facility offered by the University is an amazing tool and helps in working on all assignments and dissertation. Tutors on Blackboard are very professional and only because of their help I could complete my study in minimal times with good results. I strongly recommend to anyone to embark on this beautiful journey. It is worth it!!!! From the very first day back in December of 2008 I had been taken care of by the very caring and nice people – staff of Stafford Associates. They never lost their patience, were always available and entertained all requests with professionalism and in a very friendly way. Join the University of Leicester’s programmes and these guys will take care of you and will turn your study into the very pleasant and unforgettable experience!!!

I really engoyed the course and felt that all the information was relevant to my teaching experience. However I felt that the last 2 modules, which had short time notices for completing their assignments, were practically more relevant to our daily teaching practice than the first two. And therefore, I would suggest that the university either compresses the first two modules or shift the last two forward in time. I also felt that the program didn't enrich us in terms of integrating technology in our daily practice( which is very important in these times!) All my experience with Stafford has been positive in terms of services and communication. However, I feel that they should improve on their marketing strategies and follow up on their clients to promote the PGCE course even further!
